McGahey Design, PA is a designs architecture firm with a portfolio at corporate, commercial arid design-build commissions. Established in 2001, the firm has worked on over fifty design projects ranging from office, dwellings, mixed-use complexes medical facilities, restaurants, retail spaces and institutional facilities.
John Morris McGahey graduated from North Carolina State University School of Design in May of 1992 with a Bachelor of Architecture degree. This was the culmination of a life-long dream. From a young age he would create detailed to scale models of villages and as a teenager, he worked with his father in his construction business. This hands-on knowledge would later prove to be invaluable. He has won numerous prestigious awards such as first place Fentres Architects of Denver, Colorado. After working directly on projects such as the Seal Airport, Hawaii Convention Center, and numerous others he returned to his North Carolina roots in 1994. He now runs his own design firm and has four children: Sophia, Morris, Sally, and Michael. He is a member of America Institute of Architects {A LA) and the Fuquay Presbyterian Church.
